Our Drivers

WA Freight Group have long realised that dedication to our people is a commitment to our future.

Many companies have advanced their technologies only to decrease the amount of people in their workforce. We recognise that our industry will always be labour intensive and that the key to our high level of service is the continued development of our people’s skills.

Our drivers are hand picked for their reliability, manners and presentation with careful consideration given to their individual capacity to effectively liaise with clients. They have a commitment to customer service, which is monitored constantly by management.

All drivers are outfitted in uniform. We recognise that they are the "Front Line" representation for the Group, and an extension of your business.

In order to achieve the highest possible service levels WA Freight Group has a small percentage of subcontractors to support the company owned fleet for the national operations.

These subcontractors must provide the following:

• Professional and experienced driving personnel.
• Safe modern trucks fitted with the latest on-board engine computer management systems.
• For safety reasons WA Freight Group introduced a unique system of having two drivers per vehicle on all long distance routes. This complies with the national guidelines for "fatigue management".
• Jolly's Transport, is a fully compliant "TruckSafe" accredited transport company.
• TruckSafe is a national accreditation scheme managed through the Road Transport Forum. Compliance to the program ensures all key areas of management. Driver health, driver training and vehicle maintenance are performed within strictly agreed guidelines.
• All equipment has regular routine maintenance schedules, which are carried out by Jolly's Transport in our own modern workshop.
• A preventative maintenance program is endorsed. Pre-drive checks, fault reporting and roof of compliance records are part of this policy. Computerised engine management systems are used to monitor vehicle performance.
• Our local fleet is continually being upgraded and maintained to ensure that our vehicles are in tip top shape to satisfy our customers’ needs at the time of pick up and delivery of line haul consignments.
