FAQ‘s

  1. What is the best way to package my freight ready for transport?

    Packaging your Freight

Your valuable items travel many thousands of kilometres and will be handled several times before final delivery. How your goods are packaged is critical to how they will appear at the final destination. Key things to be mindful of:

    • Palletised goods should ideally be shrink-wrapped to the pallet to avoid them moving while in transit
    • Cartons need to be strong enough to take the weight inside, and no more than 25kg each unless on a pallet
    • Any products containing glass should be bubble-wrapped, crated or similar and marked “Fragile – Contains Glass”
    • Engines, Gear Boxes etc should be drained of oil/fuel and must be either crated or secured to a pallet
    • Long lengths may be subject to damage - reinforce these with timber to reduce flexibility in transit
    • Dangerous Goods must not be mixed together on a pallet and clearly marked with appropriate diamonds

    Labelling your Freight is critical

We handle hundred of shipments each day and need your help to identify your freight. So labelling your freight will minimise any risk of misdirects or delay:

    • Clearly show the Shipper Name and Address, and the Consignee Name and Address and if known the connote number
